About

Hi, I’m Diana — the founder of Hawaii Green Homes.

I help homeowners create homes that are healthier, more comfortable, and more responsive to Hawaiʻi’s climate through clear, thoughtful residential consulting.

I believe a home can do much more than provide shelter. When it is thoughtfully planned, it can support daily life, restore energy, and help people feel more at ease in their surroundings. That is one of the reasons I love this work. I enjoy helping people bring more clarity, intention, and possibility into their home projects — especially when the process feels overwhelming or full of unknowns. My goal is to make things feel more grounded, more inspiring, and more manageable at the same time. I bring a calm, encouraging, and detail-oriented approach, and I genuinely enjoy working with people who care deeply about how they live and what kind of home they want to create.

What I Bring

I bring a thoughtful mix of design understanding, sustainability knowledge, and practical guidance for creating homes that work better in real life.

Over the years, I have worked on a wide range of building projects with a strong focus on how the built environment, climate, materials, and daily patterns of living come together to shape comfort, wellbeing, and long-term quality of life.

For homeowners, that means I can help connect the bigger picture with the details that matter: how a home feels, how it responds to climate, how spaces flow, what may improve comfort, and where better choices early on can make a meaningful difference later.

My role is to help bring clarity, perspective, and thoughtful direction to the process.

Why This Work Matters in Hawaiʻi

Hawaiʻi offers extraordinary possibilities for living more closely connected to climate and nature — but it also comes with very specific design challenges.

Heat, humidity, sun exposure, airflow, moisture, salt air, catchment, and local microclimates all shape how a home performs over time.

I help homeowners think through these realities early and intentionally, so their home can work better for both people and place.

This includes support for:

  • healthier indoor environments

  • better airflow and passive cooling

  • stronger indoor-outdoor relationships

  • more climate-responsive home planning

  • more grounded renovation and upgrade decisions

What It’s Like to Work Together

My style is thoughtful, collaborative, and encouraging.

I like to bring structure and clarity to the process, while also making space for creativity, personal values, and the bigger vision behind a home. I know that residential projects are not only technical — they are personal.

I want clients to feel supported, informed, and inspired, not overwhelmed.

That means I aim to bring:

  • clear guidance

  • a holistic perspective

  • careful listening

  • practical next steps

  • and an uplifting, human approach to the process
